Iban

For those that do not know , i am iban..not chinese, not malay, not from indonesia, definitely not serani(portugese gypsies) and not orang asli( negrito, sakai..etc). I am not a muslim and no, i do not worship pagan gods who resemble chickens/birds for example singalang burung, the iban god of war.

My maternal grandmother IS half chinese if that answers any questions..(my great grandfather was from china)

Its surprising what people can come up with..these semenanjung-ans...tsk tsk.

And the thing that pisses me off...

oh? Ure Iban?..Back at home, do your ppl dress like this?......

The answer i want to tell them but i dont:have you ever asked yourself, would it be practical??

And i suppose this is what you do in your free time..?

The answer i want to tell them but i dont:yes, complete with scenic waterfall and full hunting gear, we ibans love to hunt birds in between mealtimes.

The level of ignorance in some of them simply amazes me. Well, i would blame it on a faulty education system (especially the pictures and drawings they put up in our sejarah textbooks)

but really la..have you ever seen a chinese mum wearing a cheongsam to send her kid to tuition??

or a mum of malay heritage doing household chores wearing their finest kebaya?

sounds ridiculous right?the same principal applies people.

I admit, were not the most technologically developed...

but were getting there eventually la..steady as she goes.

hahaha!

stupid post i know..blame it on boredom :D

thats all for now, Cya!
