camwhore

first of all, sorry for the hiatus. Ive been so busy with test, lab reports, assignments..u name it i got it. Ive been pestered by some people to update, so here it is.
As me, vivian and michelle were on our way back from midvalley(check out vivian's blog for details on the midvalley trip)the topic of camwhoring came up.The girls camwhored most of the time in midvalley, apart from times when i was dragged to be the photographer...in tht case, it wasnt camwhoring, but normal picture-taking.

So anyways, since someone(s) insisted i update *AHEm*, i thought, why not talk about camwhoring?
i think almost everyone is guilty of it, and yes even me. To take profile photo for MSN and facebook ma..hahaha.

I normally wouldnt have any troubles with camwhoring..unless people start to do funny things. Im sure some of you have seen friendster photos tht would be enough to make you hurl right?
me and my frens use to call it "PAN CUTE"...i think it translates as try to act cute..not too sure of the spelling tho.
Here are some examples, courtesy of moi, the author.

WARNING: DISTURBING IMAGES SHOWN. MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR MINORS.

KAWAAII NEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
for starters, we start with this simple one..not too bad yet..still havent start cramp

And then...

nah..this one is the upgraded version..facial muscles start to kena cramp oredi.

sumtimes u see weird ones like this..i tried to figure out the meaning..perhaps u can help me

HAHAHA!!! a retarded way of squeezing pimples perhaps..
And im not sure if they have it in semenanjung..but in miri, the shopping complexes always have those photo booths where u can print out ur own sticker photos..ahlian magnet!!!! NAH..A VERY DISTURBING EXAMPLE especially for my beloved readers..

CUTEZ CUTEZ DE
i know its disturbing for u all okay..but trust me, i suffered more trying to delve into the minds of ahlians, and actually taking the photos...utterly disturbing experience

And for the finale, a must-have-for every ahlian camwhoring session..

KISS ME!!! MUARHXZZ MUARHXZZZ..
no offence to the people who take photos like this...thts ur lifestyle and ur choice..but wouldnt it be nicer to take photos with at least a decent form of facial expression??

see..no peace sign, no annoying stupid sticker effects, no lip pouting..

oh well, different people have different sense of proper i guess. Maybe im just being too old fashioned and its true i generally dont like taking photos when going out, so yeah..its probably just not my interest..

So, the moral of the story is..please dont over-do it when camwhoring..everything in moderation please hahahaha!!

now im sure ure all sick of seeing me do my thing..i understand how you feel..so i shall show you readers how its done professionally..

TADAAAA..presenting Michelle Tang, DSCAU, SEM2, AGE: 2X(secret!) along with Vivian Tan. Notice how these 2 are very professional in this field..ada lighting lagi FUYOOO..in the KTM sumore u know..train shaking2 and yet the hand so steady can take photos like this..ini memang PRO habis2.HAHAHA!!

mmkaay. Thts all for now..try to update as soon as im free again.

And to all who gave me postive feedback on the previous posts over msn, i thank you very much..i do wish however to request u all to use the comments application or the cbox, so tht my blog don look so dead lah. Thanks for wasting ur precious time reading my shitz..

choice

In life, we have to make choices. The choices we make in the present sets in motion the events which will happen in the future. If only man had the wisdom to see the consequences of his choice, in other words, foresight. The best we mortals can do is make an educated guess, a calculated risk and hope for the best.

As children, we didnt have much of a choice. Pretty much everything was decided by our parents. From what time you slept, to which school you would study in. As children, we loathed this lack of freedom. However, if things were to go wrong, parents were always there to fix things for you and most of the time, problems would end up fine and dandy. Pro and con. Balanced.

As a young adult, i now have to make choices of my own. Where I want to study, what I want to do with my life, what do I want to make of my future etc..again, parents are always there, but their role have been diminished to simply giving advise and opinion, apart from financial support. Ultimately, if things were to go bad due to your choice, you'd have to fix things up yourself, and suffer the consequences.
Many thoughts swim my mind now, choices choices choices. Everything from academic related problems to matters pertaining to my personal life..

the worst thing ever is to have regrets. Regrets of the choices you took, and thinking of the things you could do if it were possible to go back in time to start things over. The possibilities are endless, and it is this kind of thoughts which eats at you slowly, killing your mind.

Alexander the Great once said, "fortune favours the bold." His empire crumbled in the end..but his legacy lived on.Stick to the status quo and be content...or bravely take risks, step out of your comfort zone and untap the rewards reserved for those who dare to dream.Thats my million dollar question.

ultimately its my choice.mine alone.

egg

BEHOLD.....the chicken egg..

Have you ever wondered about chicken eggs? That hard boiled egg that you eat in the morning, or the bulls eye egg which comes with your nasi lemak??

mmmmmmm..nasi lemakk..
What IS the chicken egg?that is the question that has bothered me for quite some time, and wednesday's Molecular cell bio lesson on Animal Form made me more curious than ever.
We basically learnt that the egg contains an embryo, a developing chick..

this would have been usefull in BIO119 prac...
YUX!
BUt......Why when we open the egg inside no embryo LEH!??

No disgusting looking half-developed corpse of an unborn chicken....

ewwwwwwwwwww

all you see is the egg white and the egg yolk.....

So, me and my*ahem* super intelligent lab partner VIVIAN TAN...

made a few hypothesis...

My Hypothesis:

Hen's lay eggs regardless of being fertilized(fucked) by the Cock or not,That is to say that the hen does not need to have sperm fertilize its ovum to produce an egg, just that the egg comes out naturally as part of the hen's life cycle. However, sperm plus ovum do produce fertillized eggs which would eventually hatch into chicks, and the eggs which are not fertillized are the ones we eat..so basically, there are TWO kinds of eggs produced by chickens.

it doesnt work like this...but wht the hell, a funny pic nonetheless

Her Hypothesis:
To get the egg, the Cock must mate with the hen, sperm+ovum=fertillized egg.

The hen lays the eggs and the farmer collects them. There is no developing embryo within the egg we eat coz the farmers already terminate the embryo developing process using "chemicals" HAHA!!! =.=' AISEHmen..scientific betul dia ni! hahahaha!!!!
in short, vivian suggested only one kind of egg, a fertile one resulting from sperm and ovum whose embryo stage would artificially terminated, in order for consumers to eat..
and i suggested two kinds of eggs, one fertile, and one non fertile( inside no embryo, boleh dimakan kasi goreng atau rebus)

to explain diagramatically, the chickens must carry out the following steps before producing eggs:
WARNING.BULLSHIT SECTION(has no scientific basis whtsoever)
1.

first, the excited couple reads this important piece of literature...for family planning purposes. HAHA! No apologies, no regrets.Remember, Abstinence is the best!, Boys and Girls..no no to pre-maritial sex. hahaha!!
2.

After both parties give their consensus, and maturely weigh the risks involved in sexual reproduction(condom bocor, menstrual cycle timing not cun or shooting too damn fast..excited maaaaa) they can proceed*marvin gaye's lets get it on starts playing*
3.
u know i know lah wht happens next.. getting it on..

this is a hypothesis which she added bcoz she disagreed with mine..

question:
IF the hen can lay eggs without being fucked, then how come some eggs can develop into chicks leh?!? I thought egg and sperm have to fuse with each other to produce chicks?
suggested hypothesis:
after the egg come out frm the hen, the Cockerel masturbates and spray its sperm on the eggs. Those tht kena spray will hatch as chicks LOR! EAsy as ABC!Those tht tak kena, we eat for breakfast lah!!!

I aspire to be an established medical researcher one day, and Vivian wants to be a crime scene investigator..evidently we still have a long way to go...
*BULLSHIT SECTION ENDS*

thanks to vivian, i got hold of the answer in google answers and it says:

"Hens begin laying at 18 – 20 weeks of age and a healthy chicken will lay about one egg a day. A hen does not need a rooster to lay eggs and eggs are produced in response to day light patterns. The eggs we buy in the store are not fertilized (this is my hypothesis!!!). The size of the egg is dependant on the age of the hen. Older birds lay larger eggs."

www.ofac.org/factsheets/fact11.html - visit this to read the full article

the conclusion:
the eggs we eat, contain no embryo, just the egg white and yolk, which provide nutrients for the embryo SHOULD it be fertilized.
looks like im the clear winner...well, what can i say?HAHA!!!..ure lucky didn bet wif me vivian, if not sure u pokai dy by now hahaha!
so dear readers, i hope u learnt something new by reading this..if not, then nevermind lah..for those who are concerned that eating eggs is like eating embryo's or unborn babies, u can sleep peacefully now haha!
Ps:
Im so gonna get it on monday but who cares..this post revenge for the one u wrote abt the blood test thingy..jangan marah ya~~ hahahahaha!!!!

getting lazier..

the title says it all. getting lazier to update..getting lazier to finish lab reports..getting lazier to do homework/revise/additional reading etc..
so, being the lazy me, ill condense the events of one week in a single post.( not in chronological order)
firstly, car on fire..kacau me doing my BIO119 assignmnt. I looked out my hostel window to see every one sakai-ing(pls excuse the engrish) at something..so naturally i went and sakai-ed with them. Being a proud malaysian, i took photos as well..
burn baby burn!
bomba came and put the fire out..lucky no one got hurt( i think!!!)

and then...beer and food with the guys..i had double helping of eastern chicken chop whateverucallit..

it was fun..should do it more often..talking is a bit easier when its all guys and with the presence of 'special water' haha!
It was a cleansing ritual before BIO119 test..

I booked my place in heaven by donating blood..ERk! haha just joking man! Went to donate for the very first time..i didn know all the procedures tht went wif blood donation..

1. filling out a bloody long form( adakah anda pernah melanggani pelacur?hahaha!)
2. blood test, weight measurement
3. blood pressure reading, confirm facts with the doc..
4. recieve ur little red book..which says SIJIL
i proped myself on the reclining chair and waited for the nurse..she took out this small syringe.i thought to myself..oh, thts so tiny, this isnt gonna hurt....untill she sed" ini untuk kasi dia bius"

WTF! *by now i was ready to leave*She took out the real needle and it was big...for those tht play football, the needle is slightly thicker than the ball pump needle..bigger in diameter....they took out 450ml and paid me with biscuits and hot milo..i got a cert too!
"...yg telah bermurah hati mendermakan darahnya sebanyak 1 kali" haha!
and finally, ysterday. My first full sparring session in kickboxing.
was so dead nervous...my training buddies helped me put on my armour pad and boxing gloves..most importantly, the dick guard a.k.a "cup" to protect ur kuku jiao.(i put this on myself btw)
Messed up my leg pretty badly when i landed my round kick on my opponent's knee..the smart bugger raised his knee to protect his abdomen( shin at full swing+knee=not good)..i got hit with a few solid punches to the face, which burst my ulcer, cracked my lower lip and left me dazed haha!!
Didnt fight well, punches were off, my right leg was useless due to the mishap and i kept on lowering my hands which invited more solid punches to my face..i did manage to hurt him a bit, with a few kicks to the ribs and stomach plus a straight jab to his face, a few hooks here n there...but it was not enough....would have lost on a point-point basis.baptism of fire in it's finest sense :D.Cant wait for the next spar session!!!!
so thts all for now, needa plan wht to do for tomorrow( de-stress day)~signing out.

kickboxing

Went for kickboxing yesterday..its official, im hooked to the sport. Being overweight and not flexible, most people would probably laugh at the idea of me seriously trying it out..but ive fallen in love with it. My rope skipping skills are getting better although i still look like a circus bear trying to show off his skills when i do it..managed to pull of 50 in a row hahaha! Which is nothing compared to Ah Lim( our instructer a.k.a master a.k.a 'sir') who does like a few hundreds in a matter of minutes..cant really see the rope even. We then warmed up our legs by kicking d arm pads for a few mins..quite pleased with my right leg which managed to make a loud sounding 'bang' on impact..but my left leg is pathetic..for all my efforts, i managed a weak 'puff' upon hitting the arm pads haha!

And so..of the kickboxing session, we learned a few cool things..cross-jab and hook combo, followed by low kicks and high kick as well as a chokehold/throw move...dunno whts the name. And then we did something which i dreaded..Evasive rolling. Wtf! I think i looked like Humpty Dumpty when i tried..but the master said it was pretty good hahaha!

We then did evasive jumping...to release ourselves from an opponent, we were told to jump away with arms spread out landing flat on our backs........i seriously dont know whats the use, but we did it anyways..and now my back is pretty messed up.

The highlight of the day! my first sparring session( wasnt expecting this at all!)..Ah lim suddenly took out a few pairs of gloves and told us tht we were not to kick or punch each other(wtf right...-at this point the excitement faded)However, we were supposed to use grappling techniques learnt earlier to take our opponent down, each time our opponent hits the floor, we counted it as 1 point in our favour.ALRIGHT!!!!!

I was paired with a kickboxing senior, taller than myself, quite well built but not as heavy as me. My buddies help me put on my gloves at the same time giving advise( The Contender la rasa hahahaha!!!) I muttered a short prayer before stepping in the fight area( first fight wht!!! takut maa) All eyes were on the two of us..i swear i heard someone shout SUMO!..ure lucky i didnt see who it was -.-"

The master stepped in between and waved his hand..fight!We touched gloves and It was on biatch..honestly my mind was blank..most of the stuff i did was instinctive..grapple, throw, grab grab, trip, slam..i was so dead tired after a few mins i actually sat down during the fight hahahaha!!!!( to the laughter of my friends and instructer) My opponent shouted " Come on..No stamina ah!?"ANGER!(no la..i actually laughed when he sed tht)..so i decided to try something new..i got up, moved around to try to find the right angle..and i saw the chance. I rushed at his thighs to deliver a rugby tackle(to his surprise)..something which i had not done in quite sometime, but it was perfect nonetheless. It floored him and i managed to keep my balance..the feeling was of ecstacy, the perfect marriage of 2 sports..i circled around the fallen senior like a prize fighter to the chants of "rhino! rhino!rhino!"..the final score was 8-1 in my favour and i was happy :D

So i went back feeling really satisfied.Despite my body being bruised, my butt taking more punishment than sparco shock absorbers, biceps and pectorial muscles hurting like mad..Im still looking forward to the next session.

fear him

Yodsanklai, current WBC Muay Thai world champion..wouldnt call him an idol but definately a source of awe and inspiration. Check him out on wiki and you'll know what i mean.

thts it for now peeps..back to studying. Signing out~

CNY

The holidays for me is unofficially over..it's the first day of CNY and im back here in college. It kinda looks like a scene from the movie 28 days later..it's so deserted. The flickering toilet lights didnt help either..feels like a bloodthirsty-rabid-insane zombie was gonna jump me when i was pissing. Of course there are a few african, indon and indian/pakistani/bangladeshi students hanging around..but not much..

I spent most of the time during the hols reading On War by Carl Von Clausewitz..it just gave me a headache trying to make sense of things which are way out of my league..for example this sentence....

" if war ended in a single solution or a number of simultaneous ones, then naturally all the preparations for the same would have a tendency to the extreme, for an omission could not in any way be repaired; the utmost, then, that the world of reality could furnish as a guide for us would be the preperations of the enemy,as far as they are known to us; all the rest would fall into the domain of the abstract."

wtf man.....domains? Extreme? Abstract??? Sounds like he's talking about functions...f(x) and shit like that. There's some more actually but my fingers would ache if i were to type it all out.

I got my chem test 1 results back and it sux big time..gagal dengan cemerlangnya..kinda reminds me of my addmath days in form4-5. Theres no point in crying about it though..nasi sudah menjadi bubur.
I did some rough calculations and figured i could still salvage the final mark..I'd have to fight for a B but ill find a way.I always do hahaha!!( Mum's voice rings in my head...raised voice btw " BY HOOK OR BY CROOK YOU MUST DO WELL..I DONT CARE!!!!!")*shivers*

So anyhow, i have my lab reports and assignments to finish..I also have to study for 3 tests which are gonna slap us in the face the moment class resumes..the most pressing of which is MACIBAI122 ..i mean MCB122(mollecular and cell bio) For my Master plan to succeed, the other 4 subs must be perfect..given tht chem is a lost cause..

so yea, thts it for now peeps..To all my chinese buddies, Happy New Year..have the time of ur lives while you still can..then return with a happy heart to the hell-pit known as INTI, where ill be waiting..haha!
